This Christmas, GADS presents Alan Ayckbourn's Absurd Person Singular.

Meet three couples in their three kitchens on Christmas Eves of three successive years.

Set against the familiar behind-the-scenes chaos of Christmas parties, this dark comedy follows the "lower class" but up-and-coming Hopcrofts, the philandering architect and his unstable wife and the well-to-do bank manager and his tippling wife.

The play shifts from farce to unsettling satire as the characters navigate ambition, class tensions, and marital dysfunction. With Ayckbourn's signature wit, this biting comedy exposes the absurdities of middle-class life and the fragile facades people maintain behind closed doors.
